Description:

Designed the rear bulkhead for the vehicle, which ties in wishbone hard points as well as drivetrain / engine mounting locations. Worked closely with chassis design team leaders through all aspects of the design phase. This piece is bonded to the rear-most part of the chassis, and is responsible for distributing / dissipating wishbone support loads into the chassis. Multiple iterations done in SolidWorks using FEA design tools. Multiple load cases simulated with design objectives of maximum hard point deflection and minimum overall weight. Responsible for geometric design & tolerance drawings, and communication with machine operators when manufacturing.
