Description:
Our team developed a custom robot to optimize surface coverage when depositing solutions on round 2 in glass slides. I designed and manufactured multiple components for this workflow including the slide handler, slide tower/eject station, storage station, and solution trays. All components designed in Solidworks. Parts requiring CNC were outsourced with appropriate GD&T manufacturing drawings. Slide tower/eject station used a stepper motor to control a linear platform, and was controlled by a python API. Position sensors were used on the station and slide handler to incorporate feedback logic to assist error handling.
